Dear euronews,
I absolutely love your news station and the fact that is on the internet, which enables me to catch up on news around Europe mainly, when I am unable to view it as I live in a shared property and it is not fair to ask a channel change. With so many Sports Channels around and this euronews Website, where a person like me, can catch up on latest scores, is it not perhaps possible to limit the viewing of sports result and give us a little more on actual news events, that effect all us who live in Europe Please?
In particular, I like the survey polls, as I feel in some small, tiny way, I may contribute my own personal feelings to an item that is in the news or has just been debated, though what it actually does outside of this website, is still a bit of a mystery?
With special thanks to all of the team who make up this site, who collate, edit and present your news in various medias you use, I wish you all success in the future.
Yours kindly,
Michelle… your biggest fan!!!

The Palestinian people voted for Hamas, whether outsiders like Israel like it or not. Since Israel dominates US and European government policies and decisions for the Mid East, Europe now wastes more money by forcing a government on Palestinians that does NOT have their interest at heart, merely placates them with a phoney “choice”.
Why NOT force Israel to limit stealing Palestinian land, water or as now, gas in front of their terretory?????????????
I guess, cowardly behavior on the part of Europeans is better than none at all???????

I watching euronews since first days in Russia, and i thonk that your channel is the most neutral and truthful, but when you made question about “Does Moscow share responsibility with Berlin for starting WWII?”... no comments.
Please, don’t rewrite history. You can blame Moscow, London, Berlin, Rome, Paris in equal for starting WW2. No differences.

Sirs:
Often you feature vital information in the form of video on the TV broadcasts and some of these appear on this website. However, due to cost constraints you state (elsewhere) you cannot archive these for any period of time.
If some of these videos were readily available to the general public the information presented would prove advantageous in reducing healthcare costs, preserving and/or improving lives.
I cite the more recent video of the electrochemotherapy for skin cancer (trialed in Denmark) as a prime example. A visit to this website http://www.electrochemotherapy.co.uk/links.php and scrolling down to the very last ‘link’ opens a euronews page wherein the text is still displayed (but the video is not) presenting a medical therapy proven to aid in healing victims of cancers of the skin.
Perhaps your staff might do as many others have done and continue to do? Simply ‘post’ these videos in a dedicated ‘channel’ on the YouTube service as they’re withdrawn from the euronews site.
In doing so euronews will not only help save lives – it will present the EU to the remainder of the world as a superior governmental and economic system – one deserving of the envy of the self-proclaimed ‘super-powers’.

Dear euronews team,
When making a news about how the II WW begun, please try to be adequate.
If you show only that Germany started the IIWW alone (without Russia), then you are partly also responsible for the victims of the war.
It is because you do not show history as it is, thus creating continuous false images and understandings, which re-create continuous problems.
Poland was attacked also by Russians, planned together with Germany by Molotov-Ribbentrop pact.
And if you can, please make a series of what Russia did, it could open people’s eyes.
If you watch deeper, you see that Russia pushed the buttons far more and beyond 95% of people know.
There is no eviler regime than Soviet, creating more victims than Germany ever did in IIWW.
I don’t glory what Germany did, but please just balance these truths next time.
Regards,
Toomas

I will be grateful if you answer the following questions:
i) Why h1n1 is considered an emergency if it killed approx. 2200 worldwide while seasonal flu kills approx half a million?. Being pandemic is only a measure of its geographical extension not its severity.
ii) How can a vaccine be safe if it has been developed in less than a year? What about side effects which may take years to appear?
iii) If reassortment or genetic drift occurred between h1n1 and another flu say h5n1 will these vaccines be effective?
iv) Is there an explanation why this disease affects the ages 25-45 and not the standard young or old ages??

Dear viewer You raise some interesting and pertinent questions but perhaps they would be more appropriately addressed to the World Health Organisation. Head of English section

Hello.
So, I understand there is no space for a euronews archive section and little time to answer and publish our comments given the delay in publication (when they are published) but there is space and time dedicated to a Eurofoot section. Is your next step a Eurocelebrities section by any chance?
Did you run an online survey about this Eurofoot initiative before deciding on this new section? Because I cannot figure out what justifies this new section and also why you have opted for football only. Why is there a Eurofoot section when there is already a European sport channel called Eurosport and when sports, and in particular football, are widely covered by national European TV channels, newspapers and magazines across Europe?
Meanwhile the European Parliament’s agenda and the preparation of directives by the European Commission have received scant coverage on euronews.
I thought the role of a European news channel was to inform European citizens on what’s going on behind the scenes in the EU institutions, prompt constructive debates, and help in promoting participative democracy in order to help ordinary citizens to influence European directives and stymie powerful think tanks and lobbies from contributing to shape a Europe of trade and consumerism instead of a Europe of citizens. I am afraid a true European TV channel has still to be created.
And with respect to European news, did you inform us about P. Nikiforos Diamandouros’ report following the decision of the EU Competition Commission to fine Intel?
[EU regulator draws rebuke for lapse involving Intel review, in Wall Street Journal]

Meli

Is this really the role of a news channel, European or otherwise? euronews does not seek to promote, influence or stymie anything. We simply report what’s happening. As it happens, we give daily reports on EU institutional developments in our Europe section during the week. This covers a wide range of issues and provides much more in depth reporting on EU institutional affairs than any other international news channel. As for Eurofoot, it may not be everybody’s cup of tea but many sports fans appreciate it. Thanks for your comments. Head of English section

euronews is interesting, but if China is part of Europe then so is Africa. Why report on rain in China when the death of 2 family members from Friday afternoon’s arson attack in Blairgowrie, Johannesburg, is not covered?
Why do your journalists use “which” instead of “that” in far too many reports? It shows a clear lack of adequate preparation, as well as the mispronounciation of certain words such as “tour” (torr), “poor” (pour or pore), “year” (yerr), etc.
