Radovan Karadzic’s brother is calling for travel restrictions on members of his family to be lifted, so they can visit the war crimes suspect in Belgrade before he is moved to UN custody.

Police in Bosnia confiscated the passports of four close relatives of the wartime leader in January, acting on the orders of the top international envoy in the country.

Luka Karadzic says his brother is full of optimism although he neither trusts nor recognizes the Hague Tribunal.

He was present as fresh protests broke out in the Serbian capital over the long-time fugitive’s capture.
Dozens of demonstrators clashed with riot police, although no-one was injured, according to the local media.

Ultra-nationalists are furious at what they see as Belgrade’s betrayal of a hero.
