The 13th edition of the Lyon Dance Biennial got under way on September 6th to the tune of 1930s composer George Gershwin. “Good Morning Mr. Gershwin,” performed by the French group Montalvo-Hervieu, is a tribute to the American in the form of a choreographed biography. The piece is one of 15 world premieres at the biennial, which this year has a nostalgic theme.
