The Oscar winning director Danny Boyle has announced the title of the opening ceremony for the 2012 Olympic Games as “Isles of Wonder,” inspired by Shakespere’s “The Tempest.”

Boyle said the ceremony will be based on the idea of a land recovering from it’s industrial past.

The show will also pay tribute to the National Health Service involving nurses and hundreds of children.

Boyle the director of “Slumdog Millionaire” and “Trainspotting” plans a four hour spectacular at the cost of some 32 million euros.

With six months to go before the games begin the race is on finalising details like fitting out the 2,800 apartments in the Olympic village and the ordering of some 10,000 temporary toilets.
