HSBC’s Green leaves for government post

The chairman of Europe’s biggest bank is stepping down to become Britain’s next trade minister. After 18 years at HSBC, Stephen Green will take up a governmental post that has proven hard to fill. The Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition has failed to lure several leading businessmen out of the city and into promoting British trade abroad.
