Ferrari is recalling more than 1,240 of its cars because of a risk they could burst into flames.

Glue used in the wheel-arch assemblies of Ferrari 458 Italias is the problem.

Five of the cars have been damaged by fire after the glue overheated and melted.

Ferrari, which is owned by Italy’s Fiat, will replace the glue with mechanical fasteners.

Owners whose cars have been damaged by fire will get a new one.
