Police in Pakistan say there are no survivors after a passenger plane crash near Islamabad.

Earlier reports from the scene had said at least five of the 152 people on board had survived.

The Airbus A-321 plane came down in bad weather in the forested Margalla Hills.

The Pakistani defence minister is quoted as saying authorities do not suspect a terrorist attack.

Operated by the private company Airblue, the plane had travelled from Karachi to Islamabad.

The military was called in to help in the rescue effort and the Pakistani President visited the scene by helicopter.

Local reports say there had been heavy monsoon rain in the area for at least a couple of days.

Airblue began operations in 2004 with a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.
