Fribourg is currently welcoming its 24th International Film Festival. Located in the Swiss countryside, the festival has gained international recognition through focussing mostly on films from poorer regions of the world – countries with little financial means to promote their cinema art abroad.

This year, 13 films from Asia, Latin America, the Caucasus and the Middle East are in competition for the “Regard d’Or” prize.
