German animators shine at Cartoon d’Or awards Animated films from across Europe have been screened in the French city of Lyon, for the 12th edition of the Cartoon Movie forum. One of the most anticipated pieces was Ari Folman’s new work, The Congress. His previous movie, Waltz With Bashir, was widely thought to have raised the bar for animated films.
