French President Nicolas Sarkozy is pushing international development banks to fund nuclear power plants in emerging nations.
At a nuclear energy conference in Paris he said: “It is a scandal that international organisations do not currently finance such projects.”
France is one of the world’s largest users of nuclear energy and is actively seeking to sell its nuclear technology to countries around the world.
