There was no sign of wafer-thin supermodels on the Elena Miro catwalk at Milan Fashion Week.

After the row in recent years about too many size zeroes on the runway, and the death of an anorexic Brazilian model in 2006, Miro’s collection was aimed firmly at ‘real women.’

In fact the average size of the models in Miro’s show was 16, if you are in the UK, or 46 on continental Europe.
