Third major recall for Toyota

world news

| |

It is turning out to be a rocky road for Toyota – but also for its customers.

The company has been forced to confirm its third major recall in four months.

Almost half a million of its flagship Prius and other hybrid cars have been recalled for braking problems.

Toyota had to hand-deliver its request for another recall to the transport ministry.

Already more than eight million vehicles have been recalled around the world because of floor mat and accelerator problems.

With this new blow to its reputation, Toyota is saying sorry with TV adverts.
