Roche profit misses forecasts

Shares in Roche fell after it missed full-year profit forecasts.

The Swiss drugmaker blamed disappointing sales of key cancer drugs and gave a lacklustre outlook for this year.

Annual sales were up eight percent but the cost of buying Genentech pulled net profit down 22 percent.

There was a boost from Tamiflu sales to counter the H1N1 swine flu, but that revenue stream is expected to fall this year.
