The euro zone’s service sector continued to expand, but at a slower pace in January than in the previous month.
The latest survey of purchasing managers at 2,000 companies ranging from banks to hotels, showed increasing optimism about the year ahead.
However, country divergence widened: Germany, France and Italy continued to expand but the Spanish service sector contracted for the 25th straight month.
