EDF set to boost stake in Italian power giant 
Prison sentence for spying on Greenpeace French electricity supplier EDF is planning to raise its prices by up to 24 percent according to a daily newspaper. EDF denies reports in Les Echos that it has asked the government to allow it to put up a key tariff in order to finance investments. The company’s former president, Pierre Gadonneix, lost his job after a row with the government, EDF’s main shareholder, which refused price rises.
