Airbus ‘beat delivery target’

European planemaker Airbus reportedly beat its target for aircraft deliveries last year and handed over 498 planes to airlines.

However it delivered just 10 of its A380 double-decker superjumbos rather than its target of 13.

The French newspaper La Tribune reported Airbus plans to better that pace of deliveries this year.

The figures are due to be officially announced at a news conference on 12 January.
