France’s public sector debt was at an all time record in the third quarter – 75.8 percent of gross domestic product.
The national statistics agency INSEE said public debt had risen by 29.5 billion euros from the second quarter.
The fraility of the French economy means revenue from taxes is down and goverment stimulus spending has had to been boosted to try to make the economy grow.
