Japan’s industrial output rises

Japanese industrial output rose for the ninth consecutive month in November, driven by strong exports and government stimulus money.

Demand from the US and Asia was behind much of the 2.6 percent rise last month.

That supports the Bank of Japan’s view that the economy will continue its moderate recovery next year.

However economists warn declining wages and a weak labour market remain a major threat to growth.
