Some 20 people have been killed in a bomb attack near the home of a Pakistani provincial government minister.
At least 50 others have been wounded in the blast in the town of Dera Ghazi Khan.
This is the latest in a series of militant strikes, which are raising fears that authorities are struggling to control a growing insurgency by the Taliban.
The blast comes despite security crackdowns in areas where militants have been stepping up their attacks.
