2009 Turner Prize as good as gold

The Turner Prize, now in its 25th year, is arguably the world’s most recognised award for contemporary art. 49 year old Richard Wright scooped the award with his gold leaf artworks in the form of paintings on walls. The main piece is a dazzling design that almost takes up the whole wall of the Turner Gallery.
