Shoppers’ confidence in Britain has unexpectedly dropped in the run up to Christmas, sliding for the first time since January.

The survey suggests that Brits are more unwilling to shell out on big purchases. Consumers’ analysis of their own personal finances for the coming year have also dropped. However, most feel the economy as whole will improve slightly in 2010.More about:
