A least eight people have reportedly been killed in a blast at a Russian navy arms depot.
The site in the city of Ulyanovsk in central Russia is the same facility that saw a massive explosion only 10 days ago. That claimed the lives of two firefighters as they tried to bring under control the after-effects of an accident that occurred as navy personnel were disposing of ammunition. Authorities launched a criminal investigation into possible negligence at the Arsenal 31 facility, and the latest news of another accident at the same depot will raise fears of inadequate safeguards.Copyright © 2010 euronews
