At least 10 people have been killed in a double rocket attack on a busy market in Tagab, Afghanistan, during a visit to meet local leaders by a French general.
Police said the rockets were Chinese-made, and were fired by Taliban insurgents.
General Marcel Druart, commander of French forces in the east of the country, was meeting tribal elders just 300 metres away from the impacts.
Another 28 civilians were injured in the attack. 10 are in serious condition, and were airlifted to nearby hospitals by American and French helicopters.
