A least seven people have been killed and dozens injured in a train crash in India.
All fifteen coaches of the New Delhi-bound Mandor Express derailed near the western city of Jaipur early on Saturday. Rescue teams are still reportedly working to free passengers trapped in the overturned carriages. India’s state run railway network ferries more than 18 million passengers daily. However, the system has a poor safety record and is plagued by overcrowding and outdated technology.
