Suicide bomb carnage continues in Pakistan

A suicide car-bomber has attacked Pakistan’s main intelligence agency, killing at least nine people and wounding over 50 more.

The blast ripped off the front of the ISI building in Peshawar. Insurgents have multiplied attacks on military targets in the city since the army launched an offensive against the Taliban stronghold of Waziristan last month. Shortly after the Peshawar explosion, another suicide car-bomber killed three policemen in Bannu, a gateway town on the Waziristan border. The region has now suffered five bombings in the last six days that have claimed the lives of more than sixty policemen, soldiers and civilians. And in Mach on Friday, militants set light to five tankers carrying oil supplies to NATO forces fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan. One truck driver was killed.More about: , ,
