There are important new signs of water on the moon. NASA says preliminary data shows a spacecraft that deliberately slammed into the planet during a mission last month uncovered evidence of the wet stuff. The US space agency says it has opened a new chapter in our understanding of the moon, unlocking the mysteries of our nearest neighbour. And water on the moon, it adds, could be more widespread and in greater quantity than previously suspected.
