General Motors has said it still wants state aid to help restructure its European division, Opel and Vauxhall.

That statement came despite the German Economy Minister saying GM did not need money from European governments because the company can shoulder the cost of restructuring by itself. The topic is politically sensitive since GM reversed a decision to sell a majority stake in Opel to a consortium led by Canada’s Magna.More about: , ,
