With just a month to go, and protests multiplying on the sidelines of preparatory talks in Spain, scant progress has been made. Swedish chief negotiator Anders Turesson said: “Copenhagen is going to be a very important step towards these ultimate goals, to redirect the development of the industrial civilization and to create a new paradigm for development, also for developing countries, of course.” International stars have lent their voices to a music video aimed at stressing the urgent need for a solution. ‘Beds are Burning’ was a hit for rock group Midnight Oil.
