Michael Jackson fans across Europe have been celebrating the release of his posthumous film “This Is It” in their own unique way. In London, as elsewhere, they rushed to the cinemas to pay homage the late King of Pop.

One Jackson lookalike at a London screening said: “I think it’s fitting to see that Michael Jackson can bring cities around the world to a standstill and doesn’t even have to be there himself. Only Michael Jackson.” “This is it” is cut from 80 hours of footage of the singer’s rehearsals for a series of concerts that were to mark Jackson’s return as a top artist. It was the comeback that was never to be. For fans in Paris the release was a poignant moment. One woman said: said it was very moving. “He’s still in our hearts,” she added. Another fan said: “I can’t express my feelings. It was simply magic.” Critics have been kind too, describing the movie as a fitting tribute.More about: ,
