Suspected Taliban militants have set off two bombs in a campus building of Islamabad university. At least seven people have been been killed and 29 injured.

Pakistan’s capital is far from the zone of the ongoing ground offensive being carried out by the Pakistani army in the Taliban stronghold of south Waziristan. However, Taliban militants have for the last two years been increasingly widening their theatre of operations. Attacks have been almost daily around the country for the last two weeks as the ground offensive was being prepared, killing around 200 people, mostly police and security personnel, and injuring hundreds more.
