The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has called for an investigation into alleged war crimes during last winter’s Gaza conflict.

The so called ‘Goldstone Report’ slams both the Israeli army and Palestinian militant group Hamas for their actions in the war, but was strongly critical of Israel. The UN Human Rights Council has been meeting in Geneva to consider the report. Israel has rejected the accusations but came under further pressure to fully investigate possible war crimes during a UN Security Council debate yesterday.More about: , ,
