UK interest rates unchanged

The Bank of England has left interest rates at a record low of 0.5 percent for the seventh straight month.

At their latest meeting the central bank’s Monetary Policy Committee also said they would keep in place a 190 billion euro quantitative easing programme. Next month, when the policymakers have new economic forecasts, there is speculation it may increase the size of that programme which is designed to pump money into the UK economy.More about: ,
