Suicide bomb blast at UN office in Pakistan

A suicide attacker has struck at an office of the UN’s World Food Programme in Pakistan, killing at least three people and wounding several more.

Police say the dead were two Pakistani women and an Iraqi national working for the United Nations. The explosion is thought to have happened in the basement of the building in Islamabad. Authorities are trying to find out how the bomber got past tight security. Pakistan is battling Islamist militants who have set off numerous bombs in the country aimed at the security forces as well as government and foreign targets.More about: ,
