Vivienne Westwood’s pret-a-porter collection, shown in Paris was typically anarchic – this time apparently in reference to global warming. Which was perhaps why hemlines were so high?

At Dior, although the style was more conventional, John Galliano’s hemlines were also heading north. At Lagerfeld the accent was still on legs but mercifully without too many wasp waists. His baggy shorts and smock combo should translate into some really wearable high street looks next spring… Lindsay Lohan was apparently the artistic advisor to this colourful collection from Ungaro which also kept the main spotlight on legs. 79 year-old Sonia Rykiel delivered a seriously playful disco collection – hats, and bags and accessories generally… and of course her signature knitwear along with you guessed it, legs, legs and more legs.More about: , ,
