The subject of Michael Moore’s latest documentary comes as no surprize – it isn’t only bankers who get it hot and strong, the entire capitalist system comes in for kicking. The film was an award winner at Venice and is bound to do good box office, but critics have already pointed out that unlike in his previous films, the director has failed to come up with any real solutions to the problems he identifies so wittily.
Heartbreaking and amusing in equal measures, Capitalism: A Love Story is destined to keep the chattering classes well supplied with dinner-party discussion topics this autumn.
