US car sales have dived by 23 percent with General Motors and Chrysler hit hard.
Sales for the car giants, just emerging from bankruptcy, have both dropped more than 40 percent.
Ford, the only US manufacturer to avoid bankruptcy managed to hold on sales dropping just 5 percent.
Meanwhile, German car sales are healthy up as high as 25 percent.
