At least two people have been killed in Mexico City after a gun fight inside one of the capital’s subway stations.

Security Camera footage showed a man scrawling graffiti on a wall moments before being confronted by Police officers. Seconds later he pulled out a gun and began shooting as a train packed with commuters was in the station. Police say one of the officers and a passenger were fatally shot in the shoot out with six people including the gunman wounded before he was eventually overpowered. ‘‘He went out of the train carriage and came back in. He was shooting outside but he was pointing the gun at everyone,’‘ one eyewitness said. ‘‘All of a sudden the shooting started, and people began running like crazy. And the man started yelling, ‘I have nothing against you, it’s against the government,’ and began shooting again,’‘ and witness said. The Mexican government is currently locked in a bloody conflict with the country’s feuding drug cartels, but shooting rampages of this sort are relatively rare in Mexico.More about: , ,
