Contemporary Art Biennale in Lyon

The theme of the Contemporary Art Biennale in the French city of Lyon is “The Spectacle of the Everyday” – celebrating the notion that daily life is a show.

The show’s curator Hou Hanru said: “What interests me most is Joseph Beuys who said everyone is an artist. It’s not a matter of going back to the star system, it’s more like rediscovering the links between art, reality, society and politics. So it’s in that context that Joseph Beuys interests me more than Andy Warhol.” All kinds of disciplines are represented throughuot the Biennale, including graffitti. The Biennale runs until the 3rd of January. For more information see:
