A new exhibition, USA Today, has opened in Zaragoza, Spain. The curator, Mario Martin Pareja, says: “USA Today brings together the work of 50 North American artists born during the 80s and 90s, that we think represent the new generation of North American contemporary art.
“The most important contribution of this group of artists is their realistic interpretation of the world. This is something we can see clearly in their work, particularly when it comes to their urban experiences.
“The USA exhibition emphasizes the commercial success of these young artists. As with previous generations, some of these artists’ ideas and products have been adopted by the establishment which uses their iconography to sell commercial products.”
All kinds of disciplines are included: paintings, video, literature, and design objects. The exhibition runs until the 1st of November.
