German exports up in July

German exports increased for a third straight month in July.

That boosted the country’s trade surplus and fuelled hopes that a recovery in Europe’s largest economy has gathered pace in the third quarter. After being adjusted for seasonal swings, exports rose by 2.3 percent from the previous month. Compared with last year, however, trade remains weak with exports down almost 19 percent in July.More about:
