Jackson funeral finally goes ahead

Two months after his death, Michael Jackson has at last been laid to rest.

The historic Forest Hills cemetery in Glendale, Los Angeles, was closed to all but family members and close friends. Surrounding roads were closed and even the air space overhead was restricted in a huge police operation that the Jackson family is paying for. Up to 200 people attended the service, including Aretha Franklin, Brooke Shields, Diana Ross and Elizabeth Taylor. Police warned fans to stay at home rather than make their way to the surrounding area. It all took place in the shadow of a giant wildfire on nearby hills.More about: , ,
