Physiotherapists often find patients with leg injuries are not getting the best out of their crutches. Not using them correctly can even make the injury worse. Scientists in England have come up with an “intelligent” crutch that can help the healing process. It works by monitoring how much weight patients put on a damaged limb and how they are holding the grip.
