Inglourious Basterds is Quentin Tarentino’s latest box office hit. Starring Brad Pitt and a host of other luminaries, this WWII revenge yarn is not for the faint-hearted or even for those addicted to accurate history. Classic Tarantino, Inglourious Basterds is violent, thrill-packed and unrestrained: confirmed QT fans will love it.

As for the spelling, Tarantino hasn’t explained the intrusive “u” but did comment that he had spelt “bastards” the way it is pronounced. Reviews have been good and box office returns in the States extremely healthy indeed.
