Neck trouble bursts Schumey’s F1 bubble

The seven times world motor racing champion Michael Schumacher has pulled out of his return to Formula One.

He had agreed to come out of retirement to fill in at Ferrari for Felipe Massa, who is out of action after being hit by debris in practice for the Hungarian Grand Prix. The prospect of seeing Schumacher back at the prancing horse stable had excited Formula One fans. But the 40 year old said on his website that a neck injury he sustained after a motorbike fall in February means he is simply not fit enough for the rigours of racing.More about: ,
