Jackson doctor at centre of drug death claims

A month after Michael Jackson’s death plunged the pop world into mourning, the search for answers is increasingly turning towards his personal physician.

Conrad Murray’s clinic in Texas was raided by police last week. According to sources close to the investigation, the cardiologist administered the powerful anaesthetic Propofol to the singer the night before his death. And authorities reportedly believe this drug killed him.

With Michael Jackson when he died, Murray was due to accompany the music legend for a series of concerts in London, starting this month.

Interviewed twice by police, the doctor has not been arrested or charged. And while identified in court papers as the subject of a manslaughter inquiry, he has not been officially named a suspect.

Murray’s legal team has denied he gave Michael Jackson anything that could have killed him. More answers should emerge when the final autopsy report is released. That could happen later this week.
