A man has been gored to death in the traditional running of the bulls in Pamplona in northern Spain. It happened during the fourth run of the festival, early on Friday morning. It is the first fatality at the event for six years.
The victim, who has not been identified, died after a bull ploughed into a group of runners and spectators. He was injured in the neck and lung and emergency surgery failed to save him. Three others were also hurt.
The San Fermines bull run attracts tourists from the world over. Hundreds of runners now take part in the week-long fiesta, often partying all night before the early morning run through the streets.
