The Montreux Jazz Festival has just opened in Switzerland. The glamourous location on the shore of Lake Geneva is expected to attract more than 200,000 fans of a wide variety of music styles.
This year the festival managed to pull off a coup -Prince is due to close the festival. Naturally the 8,000 tickets sold out within 8 minutes, jamming the main computer.
The Dave Matthews band are at the festival, promoting their new album “Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King”. He says that European-style festivals are starting to catch on in the States.
The festival runs until 18th July.
