Guinee Bissau. This small country in West Africa is one of the world’s poorest and, in recent times, among the least stable. In less than three years it’s had three governments, two presidents, three coup attempts and several assassinations.
At the request of its leaders the EU began a mission there a year ago. It’s mandate is to help authorities reform the security sector – a daunting task.
