Bulgarian electors set to press eject

Bulgaria votes tomorrow in a climate with the familiar chill of defeat for incumbants gripped by an economic crisis.

Opinion polls say Socialist Prime Minister Sergei Stanislav’s leftwing coalition is heading for a fall as people express a general disgust with politicians, and a desire for a change of government, or any change at all;

“Our politicians have no morals, no logic. They only think of themselves and don’t give a damn about the people. And they’re very incompetant, too.”

“There must be change, for sure. We are all fed up. Even a mere change of faces will be a good thing,” were two opinions.

Bouyed by the backlash is Mayor of Sofia Boiko Borisov whose populism say polls is taking a third of the vote for his centre-right GERB party.
He has cracked down on crime in the capital but is inexperienced, although economists like his pledge to seek IMF help, something the Socialists resisted.
