Jacko video set to earn millions

Video recordings of Michael Jackson rehearsing for what would have been his comeback shows may earn him a fortune even in death. The King of Pop is believed to have been half a billion dollars in debt when he died last week, but the rehearsal pictures are expected to become one of the best-selling music dvds of all time.

“We have almost, pretty much, a full performance in dress rehearsal, and we have enough material for two live albums which he never put out,” said Randy Philips, the CEO of concert promoter AEG Live. “So we have all that material. How we are going to exploit it and use it for the estate, and our benefit slightly and the estate’s benefit, we haven’t figured out.”

The battle lines are being drawn over Jackson’s children, with Debbie Rowe, the mother of his two eldest, reportedly wanting custody of 12-year-old Prince Michael and his sister Paris who’s eleven. A court hearing has been delayed by a week to give her more time to prepare her case.

Jackson’s Neverland ranch is besieged by fans as his family mulls over a permanent memorial. And a star-studded tribute concert is planned for next Tuesday, at LA’s Staples Centre where the last pictures of Michael Jackson were shot just two days before he died.
